Aden Solway is an artist and curator interested in the organization of time, space and aesthetic forms through systems of exhibition, value and interpretation. Trained as both an historian and an artist, they have worked across three continents, contributing to projects led by The Art Gallery Of Ontario, Scotiabank Contact Festival, The Whitney Museum of American Art, Princeton University, Tate Modern, The Art Institute of Chicago and Navel Los Angeles. Over the last decade, they have maintained residency and fellowship positions at Banff Center for Arts and Creativity (Canada), Vtape (Canada), The Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art (UK), The Museum of Contemporary Art (Canada) and Cornell University (USA). Prior to their doctoral studies at Harvard, they were awarded degrees from the University of Cambridge where they served as a Harding Distinguished Scholar and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where they served as a Presidential Scholar. They work and live across three countries.
